Risk Assessment for Final production
Item/place/activity or outing to be assessed | Potential risk | Actions to minimise risk | Risk level |
Location: | I will be filming in different areas such as the house, stables and outside I will have to be considerate for public or people that will not want to be involved and be weary for any hazards. | I will have to make sure to check the area I am in before filming in it making sure it’s a safe environment to shoot in for the actors and myself. I will also have to ask if anyone who ends up in shot is comfortable with being in it and for it to be shown. | Moderate |
Location: noise | As I will be filming at home and outside I will have to be weary of the background noise. | I will have to ask everyone in the house to be quieter and consider I am filming, and I will have to check the location I am shooting outside and make sure it is not near a road or anything that produces a loud noise. | low |
weather | I have to consider when will be best to film outside as if the weather is bad I will not be able to due to the equipment and I do not want to affect the sound quality. | I will check the weather forecast multiple times before making sure so that I can plan my shoot days in advance. | high |
actions | As I will be filming whilst riding it is a danger as I will not be fully focused on my horse which could end in injury. Also, as I will be filming outside with friends I will have to ask their permission to film but also be aware of the surroundings. | I will have to take extra care and time when riding so I do not spook or un-nerve the horses. I will also have to request permission if I film anyone I they would allow me to use it or to reshoot the shot. | high |
Pandemic: | Due to the current situation I may or may not be able to interview people in person in order to follow restrictions. | However, I can easily work around these restrictions, as I can interview through face time or zoom calls and as I am also interviewing a family member it will mean I can interview them freely. | low |
Behaviour of horses | As I will be working with the horses in this documentary I will have to be weary to not damage or break any equipment and try to not get distracted to much by it as it may end in injury. | I have to try and look after the equipment when do at the horses and take in to account that they are animals and be weary when working with them. | high |
