Audience feedback From my Preliminary task

After watching my documentary with the students in my media class and my media tutor I received some feedback from them to improve my project.Overall, I received many different opinions, some saying that they liked the montage of videos from archived videos and comparing it to my more previous footage, however the feed back I gathered from that was my introduction was seen a confusing and the audience were unclear on what they were viewing to start with.

Another problem with my preliminary task was the voiceovers they needed more energy and for me to carefully script out what I wanted to say and as I didn't it showed and people picked up on it. I think this comes hand in hand with the interviews I did I found myself just summarising what the people were saying which defeats the whole objective of having an interview moving forward I will just use the raws from the interview. The last main issue with my preliminary task was the sound overall I needed to edit the sound so it was equal the whole way through however I will struggle with this when I'm editing on 'iMovie' as it is difficult to edit but for my final task I will need to change this.

However, my strong points in this project were my transitions and my editing i received good feedback on that from everyone particularly my horse riding sequence. They all really liked the idea of my montage at the beginning even though deemed confusing.

Overall I would like to improve or cut out the areas that I have struggled in such as the voice overs and interviews and I would like to improve my idea of the montage but explain it more and use my edits from the horse ridings sequence.
